Hi,

New to the forums - but not to Kino. Some, especially John, will know me from the 2006 festival - My name is Kieran and I worked as a festival volunteer, on the Cinemobile and in the office for a week or so.

I am hoping not only to be involved in this year's festival, but also to enter a short film or two.

Also, I am a SoundRecordist/Boom Op, Editor and (when I absolutely positively have to) Director

If anyone wants to recommend some good (but not obvious) books to help me with my Dissertation (the collected work of Andrei Tarkovsky) it will be greatly appreciated.

'Chairman Bob' is the most recent - it's about an angry old trade unionist who's gone a bit senile and thinks that Lancashire is a Soviet Republic.

I am currently working on a Drama called the Leaving Song which I hope to have finished by the end of April - if things go the way I want them, I might even have a micro-budget feature on my hands, but we will see how it goes.
