Kinofilm has a exciting opportunity for a Festival Manager with an immediate start on 4th September for three months. The Manager will assist with the coordination and delivery of the festival and will work until the end of November. Working closely with the Festival Director and Programme Manager the position will include the following duties:
As Manager the role is very varied including: Recruiting and Managing Volunteers and assigning tasks, Coordinating Print and copy, inputting web site info and running the Social Media media campaign, liaising with partners and venues, initiating and coordinating events, assisting on all other festival operations as required, including most important seeking in-kind sponsors and advertisers for the festival brochure.
Volunteers could be appointed to assist the Manager /Coordinator on certain allocated tasks where necessary and available.
The 14th Edition of the Kinofilm Festival will take place 20th – 26th November. The Manager will be required to work full time from beginning of September and must be available for all the Festival dates and all preview events and will include the writing of a short report produced at the end of the festival.
The ideal candidate should have previous Festival experience preferably with knowledge of the Short Film Industry. This is a full-time freelance post and flexible working hours will be required. This is a demanding role and the candidate must be proactive, enthusiastic, efficient and confident in working independently to many deadlines. Multi tasking skills, strong communication skills and computer skills are required.
