Kino Shorts 48 – Wed 30th April

Submissions NOW OPEN for this month’s Kino Shorts on 30th April at 3MT.

We are open to all filmmakers in the North/North West of England but will also consider films from elsewhere in the UK as long as the filmmaker is able to attend the screening and partake in a Q&A.. Submissions should be in asap and the deadline will be 20th April.

Filmmakers should contact us for an application form and for details of how to submit your film ( by DVD screener only) or download the form from the Kino Shorts submission page here. Or you can click on the “files” link on the Kino Shorts Facebook group page here.

Films can be any genre as long as they are completed in the last 12 months and no longer than 20 mins (unless agreed in advance). Fiction, drama, animation, experimental, documentary, artist film and video and music videos are eligible. We can only accept films longer than 20 mins in exceptional circumstances and if we have room in the programme nearer the date, you must contact us at least 2 weeks in advance of the screening.

Our nights feature short Q&A’s with the filmmakers after each film when the filmmaker is available. For those submitting a film from outside the region who cannot make the trip to the event we often propose a Skype Q&A.

All interviews are filmed and uploaded to our you tube channel for availability for everyone to view (see previous interviews here) http://www.youtube.com/kinofilmManc. Please note by participating in Kino Shorts you concent to the Q&A’s and photos being used on our web site, and our Youtube and Facebook pages.
