Kino Shorts 34 – on Weds 15th May

601948_10151629069765132_1158476229_nOur fourth special event at Black Lion this year takes place on Wednesday 15th May and will continue with our open policy of filmmakers turning up with thier film on DVD or memory stick. WE are open to any category or genre of film as long as the film is not longer that 15 mins duration.

This month we are featuring films by gay or lesbian filmmakers or films with a gay and lesbian themes. Please note submissions are open to anyone – you do not have to be a gay or lesbian filmmaker to submit a film.

Our premier short this month is Antony Hickling’s short “Little Gay Boy”.

We will also  accept films that we have screened previoulsy at Kino if they fit the critera and if you want your film to reach a wider audience. Entries are open NOW.  Work must have been completed within 2012 to date and must be short films no longer than 15 minutes. Occasionally longer film durations will be considered but only be arrangement and on condition that we see the film first.

The event will be taking place at the Black Lion on Wed 15th May 7.15 doors for 7.30 start. There will be opportunity to take part in a Q&A about your film and for networking after the show. Licensed bar until 11pm.

The venue is just 12 minutes walk from Piccadilly Gardens, 5 minutes from Victoria train station or just 2 minutes walk down Blackfriars Street, off Deansgate (across from the bottom of Market Street/St Mary’s Gate).

Doors 7.15 for 7.30pm start.
