Laura and Marco, a couple who experienced the tragic loss of a child during childbirth, decide to go through the grieving process together. Thanks to a new technology, a state centre makes it possible to interact with a dead person whose memory is preserved. Diego oversees the encounters between the dead and the living, anaesthetised to their pain, but the encounter with Rachele awakens in him an unconscious yearning for life.

Chiara’s twenty years old and suffers from Tourette’s syndrome. She is undergoing treatment at a cognitive-behavioural therapy centre, in the hope of being able to control her tics and her obscene phrases, strictly spoken in English. Luca is nineteen years old and suffers from the same obscure disease. One day, in the waiting room of the centre, they meet each other for the first time, and they never left each other again. Little by little, their relationship matures, which makes them discover unexpected glimpses of happiness in the disease that keeps them in the dark about their future.
