Following the narrated journey of a small flower, Blooms across Borders tackles the difficult topic of immigration from the perspective of the importation of the flower market into the UK. Immigrants and refugees fight every day for their safety and their human rights, whereas flowers are imported in huge numbers to fill our shops. Why should one of these be labelled as ‘bad’ and ‘foreign’, while the other is capitalized for our economy.
