You can submit any short films under 20 mins produced after January 2017 on any of our following submission platforms: FilmFreeway and Withoutabox for which we still have some discount codes available and for those not on those sites you can also submit to our festival for discounted fees on Festhome and Festivalfocus.

***Waiver code for Iranian filmmakers based only in Iran. We realise the difficulties Iranian filmmakers experience by Western imposed sanctions on their country. We also recognise the importance of new stories coming out of Iran and the new work by the countries talented young filmmakers. Therefor our only free waiver code this year is for entries from IRAN. ****Also new this year: 1st and 2nd features being made by Kino Alumnis that have moved on the features, We would like to screen a couple of features this year to show the progression of filmmakers from shorts to features. Similarly to above you must provide evidence in your application that you have previously had a short shown at Kinofilm Festival.
*****Also new this year, a special youth section dedicated to young people aged 17 years and under; and a separate new section for short films made on mobile phones, primarily aimed at youths but also open to anyone (please stage age when applying so we can be sure to put you forward to the right section). Please note reduced fee for both Youth and Mobile phone sections – submit for just $15.
